For a test fitting, I ordered one of those remote controlled 3 watt LED bulbs with a remote. I have a few different colors that I think might look right, but this will let me test things out before I make any sort of deeper commitment.
Sounds good! If it doesn't work out, I think sheets of acrylic helps boost the color of the LEDs ... which could probably be used for another possible project?
I got the 3 watt LED today, and I'm satisfied with both the light output and color. Only thing is, it needs some sort of diffuser, and frosted acrylic seems like the way to go.
