Like lord of the rings? that would be freaky! 
Well ... actually it was more like hiding under a rock overhang like a mewling kitten after being toasted, roasted, and crunched multiple times because my level was too low to possibly win the battle. But when I hid, it actually flew overhead a few times and then got bored and left. I was very surprised that logic worked. Now, however, if I see a dragon, I have no problem confronting it. Levels definitely help! 
Haha its fine until, have you noticed.. the dragons jump in level! and then an easy battle become a health potion drinking contest haha
Yeah, unfortunately. LoL! But that feeling of superiority is good while it lasts. ^_^
