Honestly, I'm not sure why you are getting all down on this. It's not about settling. It's about sometimes going in one direction, and being led in another direction, and realizing that was the best option. Sometimes we end up somewhere, not for ourselves, but because someone else needs us. It's not what we planned, but in the end it's the best.
