I'm a psychology student, so I rarely think people are what they appear to be on the surface. LOL So, Vau is much more interesting to me thank Skirata, because of his past history and his reaction to it. After considering Skirata, I think he's mostly "what-you-see-is-what-you-get". Vau, on the other hand....not so much. There's a lot to Vau that I think Skirata lacks. Buuuut...that's just me. ^^ That and, well...Vau's a bad boy. Gotta' love those. :-p
What you said! You know, it's especially apparent now that I'm re-reading the novels again with my 'vau-glasses' on, and reading between the lines in all of his comments. Such as how he acts almost bored/apathetic when he clearly cares a lot about something (aka, Sev). And then his love/hate relationship with any mention of biological family.
