Air is my favorite element too! Hurrah~! I like it 'cuz it's like gentle but powerful at the same time.
Here is like...MY way of the elements.

Fire: Wild but raw. Strong but have a limit. Can rid anything in it's path for a certain amount of time.

Water: Gentle and peaceful but powerful when disturbed. Nothing can survive under it if needed air to breathe. Can only be stopped if there is no more of the same element.

Earth: Still and strudy but can destroy itself. It is the very land we need to live but can sometimes turn on us with awful earthquakes. The only limit is if the power just runs out and needed to wait a few years for it to happen again.

Wind: Gentle, graceful, elegant, and patient. The very element needed to substain life and give off the air we breathe. When disturbed it can cuase much damage. Tornadoes and such. The only limit is for the wind to settle down and become one with itself.

PS. If your icon a horse throwing up a rainbow?

Great ideas! You're right, very descriptive!
Yes, one of my pegasus characters with super rainbow vomit power. Well, not intentionally. It's by *kalamu.
I love the little galloping icons I've seen around like yours. They have style and character. I'm tempted to ask the artist for one!

I keep meaning to sit down and redo this series of four elements, but my free time has been so limited!

Hellz yeah. I think outside the box if you haven't noticed. I don't like...have the same ideas as others. I don't use over-rated things. Here are a bit of examples.

Everyone loves the wolf now a days. What about the other animals? Some animals can bring the wolf down with such ease. I am one with speed. There are so many animals twice as fast as the wolf. The horse! I love the horse. It's just like the wind. Graceful and elegant. Free and wild. The horse is my animal symbol. I like the wolf but no where NEAR as the horse.

Darkness is another thing used too much. Sure, it's ok and all but too much and for too long bores the hell out of me. If it were me usin' darkness I'd use a SMALL amount. Not only that but I'd mix it with another element, to balance it out. Maybe half darkness and half water? Half wind? Fire? Anythin' but plain ol' Darkness! My favorite subplitical element is time. TIME! When the HELL do you see someone as the spirit of time. Barely anyone.

PS: Subplitical is not a real word. At least I think it's not. I made it up.
