How can he? he has...plain and simple. I know I've read the Hulk, among other titles since I was a id. And he has more nonsense fanboy gushing for his invincibility and unbeatability, save for Batman and Wolverine. Hulk can be beaten, and has been, by very many. And don't bring up World War Hulk nonsense either.

Spiderman isn't one of them
Spiderman HAS fought Hulk to a draw on 3 occasions that I know of. And Hulk is Marvel's strongest character, physically, but that doesn;t mean he is the most powerful. He'd get easily take out by Green Lantern where as Thor or SUrfer would give Lantern a massive challenge or outright beat him.
Hulk's will is paramount to that of Superman's, since all of Green Lantern's powers are drawn from will Hulk's will to overcome any challenge set against him would leave anything the Lantern summons useless against him
