Wonderful! The wrinkles of his clothes in particular are beautifully done!

I only have two things to point out in terms of crit.
1. I too have a problem with the extended horse forearm. Perhaps the shading is a little dark? I'd go back to your ref photo and see if you've got it right.
2. I can see the direction of your pencil on the horse, but not the rider. Now this is purely a personal thing and there's absolutely nothing wrong with being able to see the pencil line or grain - but personally I would smudge and/or cross hatch so the effect of the pencil isn't as obvious.

I have a bad habit of working on a small section and exaggerating the detail that I see whilst drawing it, especially if the reference picture isn't that clear, this is a good example where I have overdone the lines on the leg and made it look odd.
I have also discovered smooth paper and improved my blending since this picture. I might have another go at it some time in the future and see if I can do a better job.
Thank you very much for your comment :D

How good is smooth paper! I always use your really standard printer's paper. Not as thick as I'd like, but nice and smooth!

I'd never even heard of it and then someone suggested Bristol board and I looooove it! Makes blending so much easier.
