Lost her parents when a tornado the local pegasi were dealing with got away from them and struck her house. She was at grandparents at the time.
Grew up with few friends because other foals thought she would cause another tornado to strike them too. Was a shut-in until her grandparents moved her to Canterlot where she worked as water sanitation expert (lookin at the cutie mark) where she received praise but was always embarrassed by it.
Grandparents passed away soon after, so now she lives alone, still mostly a shut in, but has had a few acquaintances she'd consider friends. They sometimes persuade her to leave her house to have fun, which she does have fun, but she's still reluctant to join in.
