well in my opinion his new look is really ugly and weird, and in skylanders he isn't even a main character, just a face in the crowd.
im a diehard fan of the original spyro, so seeing him the way he is in skylanders is a real bummer.

this are my opinions

-his design - his look is now more like a real dragon and not a weird cartoon dragon

-main character - that is true but he is at least in every skylanders game (spyro's adventure - spyro)(Giants - series 2 spyro)(swap force - mega ram spyro)

+ spyro his self- i think he is now more happy than before not only he has more than 70 friends and he is now rich

Just to be clear this isn't an argument, we're just two Spyro fans with differing opinions disusing the games. I respect your opinion and i hope you respect mine.
As response to what you said
His 2nd look was more dragon like than skylanders, which appearance wise was my favorite of the 3, and the first look fit the lighthearted cartoon world he was in. He looks like a goblin with wings in skylanders.
And even if he is in the game, he has no personality or story. Hes just a way to play the game, like a tool. That bothers me.

but 2 little thing

1 i have all the 3 spyro from skylanders and side by side with a image from google of a goblin i see big difference

& 2 he has still his personality everytime you open a gate, defeated a group of enemies or someting else he still act like the good old spyro (heroic)

there are many ways to draw a goblin than just what Google images shows. And i didn't mean specifically goblin, i mean the basic creepiness and deformity of a goblin.
And that's not personality, that just his cries when things happen in the game. Like a pokemon. He doesn't actually "Talk"

oke maybe skylanders spyro is a little bit creepy for the old spyro fans

but the first spyro looks (for me) too cartoonie

the legend of spyro version is (for me) just a updated verion of the classic one

but the version from dawn of the dragon that version looks awsome
