I have this problem where I use the same color throughout the entire image, thinking that it should be reflective light off objects, and for shading, use a different, but same color (in this case, yellow for all the lighting and blue for all the shading). *sigh* I do this because I'd like for the image to sort of match, but the tactic just makes the image look confusing because of all the same colors. =\

Because the colors looked a bit similar in the original painting, I tweaked them a bit on the computer. ;__;

Hmm, so you mean in this case using yellow and blue without picking whatever color the object might actually be(say a rusty looking color for the pipes or maybe a redish color for the pots)?

No, I do have a base color throughout all the objects in the image. For the pots, I chose the brown/red rusty color, and then did my "thing" and highlighted it with yellow and shaded it with blue. =\ I'll get out of the habit one day... I hope. ^^;

Oh, yes I see. o3o Well I should keep that in mind if I ever get back into watercolor and hope it turns out even half as well as yours >u<;
