well you really are talented! what do you like most about portrait drawing?

That's a tough one. I would have to say it's getting into the subjects head - sort of. I become a part of the person I'm drawing and feel like I know them just a little bit better after I complete a piece. Superficially, I love drawing older men because of all the character lines and the texture of the skin. Women tend to cover up their character with makeup so even when I draw one, I never really know what they look like or what kind of life they have had. Cheers!

really funny! cuz my old art teacher used say thee same thing! xD.. i totally get that though. anything you dislike about portrait drawing?

I'm not too fond of the simple black backgrounds I put in some of my work. It's very tedious and time-consuming. I draw for its meditative qualities. I'm in a world with someone without the judgement. Cheers!

hm not sure what you mean. can you expound?

The more I have thought about that statement the more I would love to expound on it but don't care to go there at this time. I will say that a lot stem from the polarization of our society today. Cheers!

Let me think about how I want to respond and get back with you. Cheers!
