How did you make the hip part? I haven't been able to think of anything to use, and yours look really good!
Thank you so much!!! The hip armor is made with wonderflex as well. I cut two pieces with curved edges (for each side) heated the wonderflex and meshed the two curved edges together to create the curved "corner" of the hip armor. They look a little bit rough up close, but they tend to photograph really well. If I ever were to remake them, I would probably make the base out of foamie, reinforce it with wire on the backside and shape the wonderflex over the foamie base (which is hoe MOST of the armor pieces are made, minus the wire) but I wasn't sure if it was going to work with the hip pieces, so I just took a chance and free handed it. The hip pieces are held up by two lengths of elastic, one across the front and another across the back, they aren't actually attached to the suit in any way like the rest of the armor pieces.

Wow, thank you! They do look really good photographed, and I'm doing the rest of the armour with wonderflex, I was just hoping that you have managed to find an object in existence that had that perfect kind of curve to it and worked there. I kept thinking back to something like those plastic plant containers.... Anyways, thank you! I ended up doing that for the chest piece, but there was so much trial and error, I ended up wasting a lot of material. Did you use fabric paint for the lines? I would rather not personally, but I haven't figured out how to use anything else because the stretchy body suit fabric seems to delicate to sew on/with.
what I had to do was put the bodysuit on my friend Hannah (who is about my size) and painted all the lines on with Jacquard silver fabric paint, it only took one thick layer, so the whole suit only took about three hours. That particular paint sets when you put the suit in a hot dryer, so it is machine washable, and by painting it while it was on someone else, it looks fine when the suit is stretched out while I'm wearing it. I sketched the lines on first with a white colored pencil, but make sure you draw them in really light so that you can rub it out with a damp cloth if you mess up.... I was a little to enthusiastic with the line drawing in some places and you can still see a couple of pencil marks
Yeah, pretty much what I was planning, except I'm so paranoid that I'll probably use masking tape to mark that lines hahaha
