Storyboarding? That sounds overwhelming, lol...but I guess someone's gotta do it. My dream is to write a graphic novel based on my game universe, while I'm working on other game projects, but I'm not a good enough artist for that and even if I was I'd lack discipline and motivation to finish it, so for now I guess I'll have to settle for making it into a regular sci-fi novel. Writing is something I don't lose motivation on as easily.
Yeah, I use regular printer paper for my textures, because I don't like wasting my fancy drawing paper that I exclusively use now for drawing, ever since I found out my results look nicer on better paper, and with a softer pencil lead. And I only just started making "aged paper" textures a couple days ago, so I'm sure after my next few batches I'll get quite good at it and the results will be much prettier.
here is my drawing of Pinkie Pie as a Safh'ira. The Safh'irim are an original alien race of mine from my fictional universe. They have wings and resemble angels, and so drawing ponies as Safh'irim is more interesting for me than drawing them as humans, because I honestly think humans are kinda boring, lol.
Well I like him, he's funny and it looks like he's having a lot of fun dancin' away. I don't really draw anime/manga style anymore, I used to when I was a teenager but I've kinda outgrown the style, and anime and manga in general. Even though it was necessary for me to move on to pursue more realistic and unique drawing styles (and ponies!) I still sometimes miss my old anime-influenced style. Especially since one of my best friends is a huge fan of anime, manga and Japanese video games, and he told me my anime-style characters were my best. So that kind if inspires me to draw a few anime characters here and there, just for him and my other friends who are otaku.
