Me and a friend did a bible study on how Jesus was one of the world's first feminist. Which is actually biblical. I mean if you thin of it Mary Magdelene could be argued as being one of the apostles as she's there not only during the Last Supper but one of the first people to see Jesus resurrected.

So no...feminism is not based in "arrogance". It's a movement that started wanting to give women the same rights as men. After all according to both the Bible and the Declaration of Independence we are both created equally.

With the submission part, I pointed out to a friend that because the word submission or submissive has such a negative connotation we should use the meaning of the word which is to be humble or show humility. Since the connotation means women should be treated as furniture.

And on the period sex thing...I think the Jews were right on that. Women shouldn't be having sex while on their period. HIV is not only passed through sex but also by blood and other bodily fluids. So it's not really wise no matter if there is a safe way to do it. Just don't do it then. Plus it's really nasty and gross and from what I've heard from friends that have done it on their or their female lover's periods...it's hard to clean up.

I don't understand why ANYONE would WANT to have sex during their periods anyway! Ugh! We're already in enough pain as it is. Sexual pleasure will not help that!

I will have to say this about feminism, though. I'm not saying that it started out arrogant, because I know it didn't and I had an aunt who used to be a part of the feminist society (or whatever the group itself is called). In fact, I do consider myself a feminist (because I do like my current rights and am quite comfortable where they are at the moment), but a lot of the huge big-in-deep feminists are... is there are nice way to put it?

Anyway, the Bible has a lot of awesome women represented there. We've got Rahab, Ruth, Esther, Abigail, Mary Magdalene, Martha, Mary mother of Jesus, ect. Heck, women are even allowed to be deacons in the church. It says so in the Bible (I'd have to look to find out where, but I remember reading it).

I asked a friend about period sex and she said it actually helped relieve cramps. I think she's crazy

So does pillow humping. It gives you good contractions that override the bad. Just saiyan.

I don't get it either lol.

A lot of people confuse the feminazis with the actual feminists. Which is why you have people who claim that they're "equalist". There's bad people in every group, sometimes it's best to ignore the one's who scream the loudest as they're the proverbial empty wagon making the most noise.

I had a male Christian use the verse mentioned that women shouldn't teach men on matters of the Bible when I was educating him on the Bible :s Some people need to be smacked in the face with the Bible.

Oh extremists!

lol! That's only for pastor-teacher. Women can instruct men. After all, some of Paul's most beloved teachers were women... That's in the Bible. People just choose to ignore it.
