How many pages do you have to do? We're doing a childrens book at the moment too, cover to cover, endpapers, 32 pages everything but we only have to do 4 double pages properly, the rest can be roughs. She's very well done ^^ although I find the pink detailing at the bottom of the front of the top a bit uh... but that would just be me - my mind being what it is
Similar amount to you, we have to do 12 of the inner pages (single), the cover, endpapers, then the rest of the 32 pages can be roughs. We have the option of submitting them to the Macmillan Children's Book Prize, which I guess you do too. Do you have a lot of choice in what you pick? Because we were told anything that's our original story or is out of copyright.
Yeah I'm not really good at costume design and detail, which is why the original I drew in my concept book looks nothing like this, I changed my mind as I went along. Also not good at colours, throughout most of the process all the pink and yellowy bits were blue, it looked pretty cold

well i thought it was possible that they might have enforced extra rules or something, ours do that sometimes just to make it more challenging.
will you be down in the week beginning june 4th? at some time then we're supposed to have our one little exhibition at the college, and unfortunately doesn't look like many people will turn up considering how out of the way the college is. would be cool if there were people there who like me

like having to do an extra 4 pages properly than the brief requires, but it specifies in the brief from the macmillan thing 4 dps so I guess eight of the single pages you have to do would have to be in pairs.

Well to be fair it is my final year, and it is supposed to be a "major" project, and the deadline is later than the macmillan thing, so I guess that's all fair enough.
