Actually, I think Heimskr gets locked up in the Whiterun prison for his worship. You say it like it'll be a compete slaughter. Both sides will suffer losses. Besides that, Hammerfell showed it's possible to beat the Thalmor. There is no justifiable reason to submit to the Thalmor.

im not saying to submit to the thalmor, even tullis sais that he's trying to find a way to get back at them

and in my playthrough at least, all vanilla no mods or dlc 360 version heimskr is still preaching, the guards dont mind, and sometimes people listen as normal.

and we can all agree it was a mistake to sign the treaty, but at the same time an independent skyrim will still never be left alone.
what would you rather have, live under the empire knowing plans are being made to retaliate against the thalmor and destroy them once and for all, or have a small moment of independence before the thalmor come in, destroy skyrim, and do to the nords what the nords did to the snow elves?

Still not seeing how Skyrim will be destroyed so easily.

simple, the stormcloacks will be a new power, weak after fighting off the empire. you think the empire's in bad shape, well, lets just say skyrim's allot smaller than the empirial forces. and skyrim's figuring out its new government, and plent of soldiers will be exhausted, and ripe for the thalmor's picking. plus the thalmor have better gear overall. and more oftan then not when i see a group of thalmor vs stormcloaks, the thalmor always come on top. AND the thlmor already have a foothold in skyrim. the only thing keeping them at bay this the empire's presents in skyrim.

The Redguards resisted the Thalmor single handedly. Why can't Skyrim do the same? Hammerfell was weaking by infighting and still managed to pull through. The Thalmor are not gods and can be slain like any man or elf can be.

you mean other then the fact that the redguards are the most skilled martial artists in all of tamriel and the dominion was weakened and didnt have as many forces after the great war? unlike in skyrim's time where the dominion is allot more powerful than it was back then. besides, whenever i see ingame events (no matter what level i am) of thalmor vs stormcloaks, the thalmor only had 1 or 2 casualties and destroyed all the stormcloaks :P

The Nords are skilled too, and fierce. I don't use in game examples like that because the Thalmor are given more HP. This does not make them better. The example you're using with the in game fights is no different than using a regular bear vs a snow bear. Of course the snow bear is going to win, it was given the stats to do so. Outside of game mechanics, Altmer and the Thalmor bleed the same as any other race. You're making the same mistake I see the Thalmor making: Underestimating the Nords. You're not swaying me no matter what you say.

game stats aside. you cant ignore what ive said earlier about the crippled state the nords are in after the war. you should also watch this video on the altemer. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjSHw_…  dont underestimate them. plus just because hammerfell fended off afew of them doesnt mean the nords can take them all down. remember the oblivion crisis? and how the argonians made the daedra run away by themselves? yeah, the argonians of blackmarsh did it on there own but it took combined forces for pretty much everyone else.

and i want you to put this in perspective, the stomcloaks are pretty much the nordic supremisist that are not accepting of anyone else, be it elf, man, or beast. they're pretty much just like the dominion but in a different skin. and ulfric likes to keep it that way. and the fact that through the main quest it's shown if some books at the dominion party that ulfric's rebelion does nothing but help the dominion get closer to owning skyrim.
