Do you have any good books to recommend where I can read more about the literary Tolkien world and it's culture/creatures?
I guess that applies to every Tolkin book.

I've heard about The Similarion but wasn't sure if that was just a prequel story or if it actually explained a lot more about everything.
I have heard the Simarilion is mostly background on Middleearth mythology.
