They arn't bad! :] And close ups are the 'safe' way to go, I used to ALWAYS do close ups... I'm trying to stretch further away... from just that i mean. Doll Photography isn't the easiest LOL.

i think i do mostly up close shots because i have really crappy locations for taking doll photos. i live in a rather messy house so i really dont want to show that off in my photos XD

Yeah, I can understand that. I've just recently cleaned that spot, (the spot where I just took the last shots) and I was like LUL DONE - Drags out lamp, doll, and camera-

what kind of lamp do you use? all i have is tall standing lamps :<

That's all I had for the longest time, then I've recently gotten a small desk lamp, I use that with the soft box [link] for better lighting now. The desk lamp is nice because it's got that little knob that allows me to make the bulb brighter or darker. :]
