I just gotta love the descriptions you give for each of them- like I said earlier, it helps many of us to follow the story and get to know the characters. I envy how you can make up these fan characters, I really wish I had the same ability to do the same, but I guess I'm just not up to it, and just sticking with the characters I know :giggle:

Even tough its small, I think the background is very beautiful,-basic, yet colorful from dark blue to dark purple. And I noticed you used some type of fuzzy-like brush(u used photoshop for that I guess, and whats the name of it :)?)
And by the look of the characters in the bacground, its easy to reconize them as tribe people, and I also noticed(and also from the sketch) that you gave Ruby a scarf,-you really like scarfs huh :giggle:?
And great job on the shading here too, as you always do from the rest of your works :)

You'll be able to come up with some of your own original characters one day. = ) It depends on what the artist wants to show at the end of the day and if they're up for the challenge then you'll know that they're ready for it. *thumbs up*

That fuzzy brush is actually not something that I can emulate on Adobe Photoshop - so far all of my drawings have been sketched, inked and coloured via PAINT TOOL SAI! I'm surprised you didn't know this since you were one of the first people to inspire me to use SAI! = )

You can change the BRUSH settings that is just under DENSITY bar. Choose from a range of brushes and experiment which one will give you that unique texture that you're looking for. ;)

Oh and yes, scarves rock. Love scarves. :giggle: 8-)

aha I see, I totally forgot that XDD, I think I'm used to your mentioning about photoshop from the past, but now SAI is the big deal, and I'm still flattered to hear from you that I'm one of the people who got you into that <: )
Well the reason why I mentioned that about that brush is because I have downloaded brushes and textures for SAI and there's this brush I have called "fuzzytastic" XDD, that has the exact same brushstyle you did there below the mountains and the dark sky behind Ruby,- can't remember what site I got them from X,D..

yes, scarves are nice looking(thanks for correcting that for me :giggle:)
