I think it's because of the finger paint... Also certain types of hairsprays can make the paint chip, got2b by Schwarzkopf is one of those... it's great for styling wigs but it's not something you want to use for fixing bodypaint.

Yeah, that's generally what we use. that and Aquanet. It stays great in hair, not so much on skin. What sort of hairspray do you suggest?

Anything that dries fast should do the trick. I've used Bamboo Flexihold hairspray by Garnier and it's worked pretty well imo.
