thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the first part. Perhaps it could have survived on it's own, but the second and third strophes are what I really wanted the poem to be about. Otherwise, there's no analysis or interpretation of the events and it becomes pure observational verse.

Fair enough - I often like simple observational poetry myself, and letting the reader draw their own conclusion from the image. And I may have done a presentation in my Modernism class on Imagism for this reason :giggle:
