Celestia's great, too - wise, benevolent, magnanimous, dutiful and imbued with a sense of humor.

That said, my favorite characters - in books, movies, TV shows, you name it - tend to be those that are hurting or struggling, those for who things aren't so easy; those that are torn back and forth, those that are faced with difficulties and problems and those whose roads are rockier than most.

Tragic characters, huh? I like them too.
They say: Luna faces all suffer of world, banished for 1000 years knows anything about world, have to learn again bla bla bla (I won't speak about fandom imagination, about "tyrany", because I would be not proud of myself...)
But what about Celestia? entire millenium she lived without her sister. She had to get along with that lonliness.
Plus fandom doesn't let her be, as she is. Trolling, tyrany, pervertion... All, what's the worst they are giving to her.
Why...?

Yeah, it's true, Celestia must've been pretty sad to have lost her sister for so long, too. But at least she had others around her, and she knew Luna'd eventually come back.

As for how the fandom portrays her... ah, I don't ascribe too much significance to that; my image of her is really mostly based on the show. I'll admit I'm amused by the concept of Molestia (especially when the tables are turned on her), but I see that as a bit of harmless fun, just a spoof that doesn't affect my idea of Celestia herself.
