I meant the anatomy of the werewolf and the transformation process. Physicalities not practicalities... lol I'm planning on mostly sticking to werewolves. They've always fascinated me my whole life and I already know quite a lot about them, but I also have my own views too. Like those who are born into lycanthropy can control their transformations, and that they're most powerful when the moon is full (like all werewolves), but the ones who are born into it are more likely to be the Alpha male/female. But I have two different kinds of werewolves; the Repentant and the Wildblood.
Repentant werewolves are the people who were usually attacked and became one against their will, they're more ashamed of what they've become and many of them run far away and live as hermits, so that they don't hurt the ones they love. Some of them still walk among the major towns and cities, but are marked with Maralen's Shield on their right hands so that people know what they are, kinda like what people do with sex offenders. They're under constant surveillance and must check in with the Church before every full moon so that they can recieve blessings and keep their transformations in check. Usually by being put in concrete cells secured by an iron door, while church officials perform an excorcism on the other side.
Wildbloods are either born into lycanthropy, initiated, or were attacked and became one, but unlike the Repentants have accepted their wolf form. Wildbloods are more predatorial and have a much shorter temper. Many Wildbloods are usually bandits, outlaws, and wanted criminals. Their temper can also trigger a transformation even when it's not a full moon so they're very unpredictable, and they're the ones who hunt in packs and target small villages. Sometimes they watch people and try to "initiate" theones they like into the pack by attacking them, kidnapping them and turn them into werewolves against their will. For them, you're either in the pack or you suffer a horrifying death of being eaten alive by every member of the pack, it's a win-win for them.
I have the same view on vampires too, you know how they don't like mirrors and break them and don't have reflections? You know how some people believe that when you look in a mirror you're looking at your soul? My theory is mortal men can't see the reflection but the vampires can, and when they look in the mirror they see a horrific display of themselves; all disfigured, rotting and grotesque... terrifying to say the least. And when they haven't fed they start to get uglier and uglier (kinda like the vampires in Daybreakers) except that when they feed, they rejuvinate. They poof to dust when they're pierced in the heart, but only when they haven't been feeding.
Sunlight damages them too, but for them it's like an extremely bad case of sunburn. Humans in Urtha like to torture vampires by putting them in stocks and leave them out in the sun while angry mobs throw rotten fruits and vegtables and rocks at them, take turns whipping them with a scourge and pull out their fangs, then finish by tying up their arms and legs to four different horses and rip them apart. (Vampires tend to avoid Urtha for that reason)
