Gosh this is a beautiful piece the flow of it is so pretty and the colours as well. It's definitely going on my favourites list. Also I am in the minority who like Rinoa ^^
I like that Rinoa argued with Squall mainly because nobody said anything when he was really horrible. The way he treated Quistis was awful and yet everyone was like 'Squall's being a total dick but oh well' and then Rinoa was like 'Hey you're being a complete jerk' and I was like 'I like her' because it's exactly what I would have said. Especially when that guy (sorry I can't remember the first name) but the guy who fights with his fists was freaking out over Balamb Garden being attacked and Squall was just like 'Meh well they could lose, depends on the army' and then again Rinoa was like 'Hey, do you actually enjoy being horrible'.
She acts childish at times (like the meanie comment or fighting with her dad), she's emotional and can be very headstrong and reckless not to mention she's green when it comes to combat. I think Rinoa had romantic ideals of fighting in combat and that sort of thing it's not until the end of disc 1 when stuck in battle alone that she realizes for the first time what it is like to fight a battle you know you cannot win, or face the prospect of dying without expecting anyone to save you. After that her views on fighting changes throughout disc 2.
So sue me ^^ but I like that she's a 17 year old who acts like one without any military training probably would when being caught up in something that goes way beyond what she ever intended to be involved in. She just feels believable to me and yeah she gets scared but I would be too if I were in her shoes. So Rinoa can be annoying but I think her flaws are believable for her age and inexperience. I think if I were 17 and got caught up in a situation under strong enough oppression that I decided to join a resistance movement, yet didn't have any formal training that I wouldn't be all that different from her if put in that position. Obviously you would learn over time but she kind of jumps right in. Naturally she's going to screw up, or freeze or make a stupid decision and she does make a lot of mistakes throughout the game but at least other people don't suffer due to her mistakes. I don't know the other FF leads just often feel too perfect to be like us. Rinoa has moments when despite loving the game I thought 'oh gees really'. I also thought the meany comment was really dumb but overall I like Rinoa just fine.
