and on a separate note I just read a good chunk of the comments and I want to stab almost every single one of the posters. Stupidity on that level should be punishable by education.
I occurred to me that maybe I should explain that the Prose Edda is "a collection of four sections interspersed with excerpts from earlier skaldic and Eddic poetry containing tales from Nordic mythology" - and was originally written in runes. Basically, the story of Odin, Thor, Frigga, Baldr, Loki, etc. I've got a copy of the whole thing in two forms - one version is translated into english but the other is the original language, but written with roman characters for readability. I just wanted a quicker way to put bits of it back into runes than doing it manually in photoshop using images of runes (which is actually how I did it for a while until I got too frustrated with the tedium and made myself a font)
