? I mean I guess he antagonizes Karkat a little... but Karkat antagonizes him a lot by comparison 
. As for Dave... the two of them joke back and forth a lot, but I always felt like they were on good terms no matter what 
. Also, the whole prankster thing is part of John's character, so of course he's gonna mess with people sometimes

It's not the pranking, but the way he can act kinda short when he's talking to Dave. Like, the part where Dave kept wanting to show John his phat beats. I felt kinda bad for Dave.
Yeah I guess... but at the time, if I'm recalling correctly, he was kind of in the middle of a chrisis involving a meteor . After Act 1, I don't really recall Dave ever rapping at John specifically... he got Tavros with his weird counter trolling, and I don't think he ever even rapped at Terezi... the two of them just chucked ironic comics, gifs, and some bad clip art back and forth at eachother . I actually think that John and Dave should've had more conversations in general... there was the stuff in Act 1, the time when Dave saved John from killing himself, and the time when Dave asked John to lend him his one boonbuck, and that's it 
. Comparatively speaking, they both had way more conversations with either Rose or Jade, and speaking of those two... I think they've only ever spoken to eachother twice (that we've gotten to see at least 
).
Once was when Rose was trying to get ahold of Dave, so she asked Jade where he was 'cuz she was his server player... it was really short and inconsequential
. The second time was just after Jade got the weird glasses that let her see all kinds of crazy locations all over the place, and she contacted Rose to get a run-down on the situation, and also to ask that question that everyone was pondering at the time... "Where do you get your information?" The conversation didn't even fully get us that answer, and Rose was only able to offer Jade some quick reassurance before they both had other more important things to do .
I think it was heavily implied that they talked more than that and the rest just wasn't relevant to the plot (as is the case with most character relations, I'm assuming)... and if it weren't for that assumption, it'd seem like they were more friends by association all along

Well then we are going to have to be in disagreement on that point, aren't we 
? I think each one's actions could've been taken as unfitting for the situation from the other's perspective . John was having a serious issue with the whole meteor thing... he really could've died right then and there if he hadn't been quick enough figure out the apple thing 
. It really wasn't a time for goofing off, in spite of how much of that ended up happening anyway, but from Dave's perspective John probably seemed like he was just trying out some new and elaborate, yet completely transparent prank (if it had been a prank ). I think he even took it as a ploy to get him to start playing Sburb, which he had initially said he wasn't gonna do . Bottom line is, John was in the middle of freaking out, and Dave didn't really get the situation yet... so of course there'd be some misunderstandings .
