also, regarding what you said in the artist's comments - dragons can relate to wind, too, but i do see mulan more as fire than wind. wind would, in her situation, flex and turn and move and make the best of it. mulan, however, barged in with passion and courage and practically destroyed every enemy in her path like a forest fire.
