Oh my god. GIF destroys this picture. Just... destroys.
Can someone explain me why format from the EIGHTIES with crippling limitations and without support for alpha channel is still a standard in small web animations?

I'd guess it's because APNGs are massive in comparison to GIFs, and a lot of people still have slow speeds. I don't know though, just a guess :P

It shouldn't be too long before every browser supports APNG though - and on that day I will be leaving GIFs in the dust :D
