I still think that you're actually describing manipulation and deceit, because love may be powerful and all but it's not actually love that leaves such an impact on people. It's the intent behind that love.
The same way Discord's intent is to wreak chaos and Nightmare Moon's is to have her revenge, that's how Chrysalis acts too. She is a manipulative *insert appropriate curse word here*.
Maybe, Lust? Idk.. I just can't see Love as something of a characteristic or motivation for a villain, sorry mate. :)

I still like the drawing though, the idea was really neat. :)

Lust is a sexual desire for somebody and I didn't see any of that in Chrysalis.

Deception and manipulation were tools used by Nightmare Moon and Discord too, remember? Nightmare Moon tried to manipulate/deceive Rainbow Dash with a promise of fame and fortune. Discord successfully manipulated 5 of the mane 6 into becoming the opposite of what they are, and he deceived Dash and AJ with possible horriffic versions of the future.

Chrysalis is no different in that regard, but what makes her stand out is that she consumes love. Cadance makes love. The piece with both of them in it is called love. I don't see the problem.

true. but manipulation just feels like it's describing Chrysalis better. If we went by what fuels the power of these 3 villains, I don't think like Envy and Chaos can literally give Nightmare Moon and Discord more power and I went on this debate based on that.

As for lust, there's also lust for power, so it's not just a sexual desire. ;)

True. Lust is just the opposite of love.

Love is "What can I do for you, and expect nothing in return."

Lust is "What can I get out of you, and not do anything for you."
