I've found this, it seems that the heavier is the pigment, the less the effect: [link] Some brands are more saturated than others, maybe you could try it with a lighter watercolors. Anyway, I like this sky too 
Ah, thank you! I use the only watercolours I found here if you don't count those for children, it's some chinese brand, I think. It's possible that they are more saturated...
