Fimo clay i havent used myself yet (tho i just ordered some fimo puppen myself and cant wait to try it) but i heard its a decent and strong polymer clay at least if you got fimo classic, if you have fimo soft that kinda is similar to sculpey III, soft and pliable but can become very sticky/smudgy when the clay gets warm and isnt very durable, but you can certainly use it to try sculpting with :) as for materials... try and see if your local art shops sell any of these other wise you surely find them on ebay :)

Thank you so much for the fast reply, really appreciate it
I found soft fimo & another fimo. I read an article few hours ago & it advised not to get the soft one, so as you said better not get it. I'll get the other fimo, I was asking to make sure that it'll be a good start. I live in Egypt & there is no much variety as in the US, not even around art university, won't use ebay cause we don't have paypal in Egypt. So, I found some stuff on amazon, gonna try with simple stuff at home first & then buy stuff if sculpturing work for me

Now I saw your first sculpture & you are definitely born to sculpture  do you think I shouldn't start with something as complex as it or treasure seeker or try more simple stuff. How did you start? whats your advise? & how did your FIRST sculpture look that good?

Thank you for replying back that quickly as I'm gonna go shopping for those today :happybounce: & sorry this comment is long as well :forgiveme:

i think you shouldnt go start off with something to difficult, make a couple of sketches of the subject in a simple pose you want to sculpt, play a bit with your clay and materials to get a hang of it :)

ok, went to the shop today only found fimo soft, natural, material, accessories. Only fimo soft can enter the oven. Also found something called DAS. plus Amazon won't deliver those stuff worldwide. I'm out of luck with sculpturing

ok. I'll start with some cupcakes as I found lots of tutorials for them on DA then I'll do more complex stuff. Also that'll give me some time to learn sketching :ashamed:
