Ah katana, that's one I never learned that I really wanted to. I loved weapons training. Nunchakus were my favorite.

I really want to get back into some kind of martial art. The Fibromyalgia made me quit but I never lost the bug.

I love swords, especially the katana. I was never any good with nunchaku...my knuckles hurt all the time. XD Escrima were actually my best weapon, since I was never allowed to compete with katana (technically our school never taught it, so they couldn't judge it).

I have to be very gentle with my back since I injured it while away at college whenever I train now. It makes me sad I'm not as robust as I was at 16. Lol.

Which of us is, lol.

I liked doing fighting demonstrations and stuff with the escrima but I wasn't crazy about doing kata. Bo was fun though. I've always wanted to learn chain whip for some reason. I seem to gravitate toward flexible weapons I guess. :P

Doing kata with escrima was like...baton twirling if you wanted to do anything flashy. It definitely didn't suit itself well to performance solo kata. My sensei was huge into chain whip, but the masters wouldn't let him teach us til we were black belts. He left before that. :(
