Yes, is a finished work, and as the image suggests that the sun is well hidden behind the grass, the shade of the tree(like the boy in the balance), is there, quite subtle, but is there.
Maybe your monitor is in calibration a bit different from mine, because I have seen this work on two computers and one that seems to be no shading, but the other (the one that I did the job) is there!
