Well, don't expect God to work on your terms, especially since you don't care to believe in His works or Him for that matter. Who do you think you are?

I like to think that I am a reasonable person. I work hard in school, I help out my friends, and I strive to find enjoyment in everything that I do. I also show a reasonable degree of skepticism when faced with a claim that is backed with no evidence. For example, if someone told me that a particular rock in my backyard kept away tigers, the reason being that there are no tigers around, I would be pretty skeptical about that claim. So when people claim that there is an all-powerful, all-knowing, loving and kind yet somehow also exceptionally cruel man in the sky who dictates our lives and makes everything in the universe happen, with no evidence except a book that some guy wrote a very long time ago, I think it's pretty reasonable to take that claim with a grain of salt. Especially when that man in the sky would put me in an eternal prison of fire and pain just because I am in love with a woman.

Although, in case you take this the wrong way, I'm not saying that I think the book is poorly written! It is a wonderful piece of fiction for its time. I particularly like the story about Samson and how he fooled everyone into thinking his power was in his hair.

The reason being that there are no tigers is because....? Where's the point?

The reason that there are no tigers is not because the rock is magically able to keep tigers away, but more likely because tigers are not native to the area.

The point is, you asked who I think I am, and I told you I think I am a reasonable person.

But how does that prove that God doesn't exist? I mean the boat tailed grackles in San Antonino are overpopulating the city because they don't have a predator (or not enough), save for cars. This is more of a common sense issue, and not a theological one.

The main point of this conversation is if there is a God or not. You said that there isn't a God because of the rock/tiger thing...which was missing a point.

Oh no, I'm not going to get into an argument of whether your sky-man exists. The existence of a sky-man, or anything for that matter, is not falsifiable--after all, can you imagine evidence that unicorns don't exist? No, you can only imagine evidence that they do exist, such as fossils or photos; anything else would be evidence that we have not found unicorns YET. But the fact that it is not falsifiable does not in and of itself prove anything.

No, you can have your god and I can have my... I don't know, Google is probably the closest thing to god that I believe in. But you are a fool if you think that a few words in your silly book entitle you to pass judgments onto other people about who can or can not get married, as you did in this journal.

You started it.

Of course I started it. And I still stand by my point.
