I wouldn't go so far as to say this movie will be canon. Just because Masashi Kishimoto came up with everything doesn't mean it will be designed to fit in somewhere in the manga. This could just be a bunch of ideas that he had that he wanted to put in a form bigger then throw-away sketches.

Nonetheless, I am intrigued.
