The finger posing on the spy was screwed up, causing his fingers to only bend either left or right, but not down! So not pointing made it look a lot less awkward!

If I may, regardless of how horridly awkward the posing would be, could it not still be possible to have a decently appearing point by simply NOT having the axis be locked into their positions?
Unrestricting the axis had no effect.
Because the spy's fingers, even when unrestricted, still refuse to move in a way that could form a decent point!
