Not likely; I shouldn't had baited him. Now, as the response shows, he's angry at me.

That wasn't my intention... (;) (Wink)) . But sure, it will be interesting.

I just go with that Granny Smith is even older than she looks.

Now I'm not sure I will now that I know I've been baited.

I'm sorry, I wrote it like a bait in jest. I honestly want to see alternate interpretation of Ponyville's origins in full.

So you believe that there is no previous Ponyvilles before Granny Smith? And that there is no dark history behind its origins?

I believe there have been other Ponyvilles, but Granny Smith herself is QUITE old.

Well, how old was never specified. Remember, the setting was still yet completely set in stone during Season One, so maybe the writers decided to revise the founding of Ponyville to a nearer time.

How did you take the view that the ancient Equestrians might have expelled/exterminated the original inhabitants of the land when they first colonized the area around Ponyville and Equestria, as I implied with original commentary? It had happened before in real life with too many times to count, and since such practice was considered normal back then, I wouldn't put it past the ponies when they colonized Equestria. It does add a unique flavor to interpretations of the town's origins...

Doesn't feel in MLP style.

Well, true enough...
