Comment on adele wip3 by aramismarron

I have a question that you may or may not be able to answer lol. How do you draw the highlights in her hair? For example, the curl beside her eye. Do you do the dark sections with a pencil and the "highlight" is just blank page? Or do you use an eraser to go over afterwards and create the "highlights" in her hair? sorry my wording might be a bit confusing.
