I used a color transformation matrix on the entire scene to get the color I wanted in Ponyscape. It does a decent job of manipulating everything in a more believable way, but I'd probably do it more by hand next time and add in things like the moonlight and shadows. Hand-picked colors would look a bit better, too, rather than calculated ones.
