But file '_1' was the one I couldn't load when I first contacted you and...

If you recall, I'm working with WinXP (that's more my problem then it is yours!)
I know you've spent more time than this may be worth, but I have one more favor, if you'd be so kind (and if you think it would work). Could you send me -via SendSpace- Opacity 'unpackaged' - not as a rmskin but as a installed folder? Unless Opacity is specifically Win7 or higher, maybe I can but the folder in Rainmeter and use it from there.

just rename .rmskin to .rar
and extract or rightclick the file and choose open with winrar or whatever program you use to extract files
the folder u want is in the skins folder

Changed it to .rar
--extracted it / put Opacity folder in RainMeter skins / opened skins from RainMeter Manage
NO menacing 'Your version of Windows not supported...' message and the skins do load.
It worked--may be a back door--but it worked.
