I don't know anything about oil so I really can't say anything helpful, but I just wanted to remark on how beautiful, simple, and sad this is. In a good way, I mean. Nicely done.

I'm thinking of doing something along the same lines at some point actaully...currently painting my partner though, which is a much more appealing subject
