I might try that, instead of using shapes while using the pen tool.

You see, I was taking lessons from somebody on Youtube by the username OrangeL89, he said to use the shape tool while using the pen.

You should check him out if you hadn't already, let me know what you think of him, I really don't want to accidentally take lessons from the wrong guy.

In the meantime, I'm going to try using the pen tool, with using the paths instead of shapes, the second Twilight Sparkle that I've vectored was in shapes.

And no, I'm not using any form of lasso for vectoring ponies ever again:)

Thanks for the positive feedback, it makes me feel very good:)

Right now I'm vectoring my first Apple Jack, I'm going to use that advice that you gave me:)

Later.

Using shapes is the correct method. Anything else and it is not actually a vector graphic.

I saw your Applejack vector. Might I ask why it's such a low resolution?
My vectors are usually around 6000x6000 pixels each.
My methods aren't really vectoring, though. I just make selections with the Paths tool and color them in.
Every time you see a color on my pictures, it's on its own separate layer.
So yeah, mine aren't really vectors, but they are of just a high quality. :P
