6 limbs.. it is evolution. as 8 limbs would be too combersome.. like whales and their legs.
I do understand your point, but in the environment she is in they wouldn't be useless as a whale's legs would be in water.
I think if the race was born with eight limbs it would naturally grow up knowing how to use them proficiently. c:

well I am very pleased but, from what I red, the whale once walked on all fours on the land, then returned to the water adn their back legs regressed. sadly, eventhou, they were really cool books, my mum decided I had outgrown them so, gave them to a South African family we are friendly with.

Depends. 4 arms + 4 legs can give speed benefits as well as not becoming unable to walk when one leg breaks, for instance. And you also have scorpions, solifugids and alike having a pair of limbs with one specific purpose
