"trannies" abreviates it, it's easy to say and write, what's wrong with it? it's like telling people to stop calling gay people gays and start calling them "homosexual" and stop calling black people black and start calling them "african-americans", you're just making things needlessly difficult

i know how your brain works, as shown by research on the subject to transvestites, unless your opinions are worth more than documented fact

I'm beginning to feel like you're a bit touchy in this area, couldn't imagine why though, you're so civil and polite...

how am i confused exactly? i know what I'm talking about, I've read all the info on it, if you are a tranny why don't you go look up what the problem with your body stems from and stop getting so damn upset at me correcting you slightly on how to best describe what it's like for your brain to function differently to what it's meant to with your body?
Pyrosaitan1 You don't know why he is upset?

1. Lets start with the assumption that you understand what the trans experience is like "i know what I'm talking about, I've read all the info on it," you know academically not personally. You can't speak about the experience, just the science.

2. Calling someone a 'tranny' is like calling someone a f****t.

3. You then question his identity and call his identity a PROBLEM. How is that not offensive? How would it feel if someone described a central part of who your are as a PROBLEM.

4. You say you "avoid people like this" and say its okay because your friends are gay. Sexual identity is completely separate from gender identity and saying you don't like someone because of their gender is discrimination. Just like racism. Just like homophobia. And it's repulsive.

6. My personal favorite part is "
if you look creepy in them, don't wear a dress, and when you flirt with people, don't go near straight males, because they're straight, and you're male." Now, your writing is a little confusing, but I am now operating under the assumption that you are talking about trans-woman (man to woman transition) You have no right to tell people what to wear, particularly considering you have got some serious cis-privilege going on here. (unless I am mistaken, and in that case I am sorry for the assumption). And seriously? You are saying a woman can't flirt with a man if she happened to have been born with a penis? Who she decides to flirt with is her business, and if that person happens to be a straight male (and by the way how is she supposed to know he is straight?) his reaction is his business. Not yours. Nobody but theirs. And also the trans woman in question, they are NOT male.

7. "
I'm beginning to feel like you're a bit touchy in this area, couldn't imagine why though"  I really hope you're a troll because that is just upsetting if you can't tell why he may have personal feelings on this topic. This whole comic is about being trans. Written by a trans person. Now call me crazy, but insulting trans people and his work might now feel so good

P.S. Roman, I really love your work- keep making awesome stuff

i don't, no

which to me is as much as I need, the only things emotions and "feels" do is get in the way, as they're doing now

what's fuckwit an abréviation of?

I'm sorry but my brain and dick have come to the understanding that I'm a dude, my apologies for being a cis white male and fully aware of it

what's repulsive is the fact that you're trying to say it's okay for someone to be in emotional, mental and physical turmoil for the entirety of their lives, in that light you're the asshole here

if you saw an overweight man in a tutu, undies and nothing else what would you think? fuck your current point of view of "they're comfortable in that", think "there is some huge motherfucker walking around in what looks like what his 12 year old sister wore to her swan lake dance recital"
now think, as a human being who is creeped out by spiders, rats, snakes, muk from pokemon and the insides of late cancer patients, are you comfortable looking at that person in public? i sure as fuck wouldn't, I'd fucking glare at that kid and think "what kind of new-age meth did the breaking bad crew give to this motherfucker to make him wear that in public?"
look, i get that behind closed doors, i can't judge anyone, i understand and accept that, and I will keep my fucked up thoughts etc away from others who it would freak out, but the public is everyone's space, and "everyone" just isn't ready to see some lanky kid in a sundress or some huge chick with a monobrow and coated in fucking axe body spray
also a dick means dude, a vag means chick, don't try reinterpreting gender, everyone hates it when one of my friends tries repurposing the word schitz as in "schizophrenia" to "cool" or "sick", so like hell anyone's going to be seeing you try to repurposed 3 different synonyms, just no

it's sarcasm, obviously it's fucking sarcasm, if you haven't noticed I don't care if you people are sore in this area just like you wouldn't care if I'm sore about "no idea I don't fucking care about anything"
I'm saying shit i see as facts, black and white, no grey, facts, and the facts don't fucking care if your touchy in some area of conversation, so if I'm using sarcasm, recognise it, because I'm really not here to apologise and spare feelings
Its not fuckwit, its faggot.

It's not okay for someone to feel that way, and they have every right to do what the have to do that makes them feel better. If that means transitioning, then transition!

If I saw a man like that, I would think 'that person is really cool- it must be great to have that much confidence'

Yes I would be comfortable looking at "that person in public." It's their body and their right to dress at they want. The very sentence "what kind of new-age meth did the breaking bad crew give to this motherfucker to make him wear that in public?" is the epitome of transphobia. Their is nothing wrong with the person, no one gave them something to make them like this, its just who they are. The way they present themselves doesn't hurt you, or anyone else. You have no right to critique them.

It's true "
the public is everyone's space," and that includes trans people. Just because "'everyone' just isn't ready to see some lanky kid in a sundress or some huge chick with a monobrow and coated in fucking axe body spray" doesn't mean people shouldn't present themselves as they feel. For a very long time "everyone" wasn't ready for interracial relationships, women in pants, people of colour in the front of busses- but you know what? That changes. But change only happens as what made people uncomfortable becomes part of a new normal. "Everyone" will never be okay with trans people, especially if you force trans people into their homes and say you can only ever be yourself alone.

"
also a dick means dude, a vag means chick," What you are talking about it sex (genetailia and secondary sexual charectoristics). Gender is ""Gender" refers to the socially constructed roles, behaviours, activities, and attributes that a given society considers appropriate for men and women."(www.who.int/gender/whatisgende…)

oh, well that just shows you how many gay slurs I use...

the problem in that though is that it doesn't turn you into the gender you want, it's just mutilating and experimenting yourself to be some demonic cross between either gender, and this is said without any emotion here, that's what it is, getting offended by it is just saying "I don't believe chopping body parts off or putting foreign chemicals and drugs in my system is mutilation at all!"

that's like saying I'm brave for going to an interview at a lawyer's firm in a snorkel and boardies, I'm not, I'd look ridiculous and there is no way in hell I'm getting the job

it's not transphobic it's looking at a guy in something that makes him look like a dumbass and thinking "that guy looks like a dumbass"
besides, you don't know something didn't change him, he could've been a heroin addict and the drug could've made him gay, I know people like that. and there kinda is something wrong with him, for one, he's morbidly obese and 2 his brain doesn't match whatever's under those 50 or so roles
lastly wit this, just like gender identity, rights are a man-made concept, even if i "didn't have the right" to judge him I
m still gonna, I'm human, and he's a lardlad in a tutu

being black or a woman isn't a disorder or a genetic mutation, nor are they a HUGE minority in the human race

"synonyms" that word that means some words mean the same as other words, you're not shakespear, you're not redefining a whole string of different words, don't bring in that grunt-class lgbt argument crap that everybody uses
cobaItmaster's avatar
"foreign chemicals" my ass. you claim you know the "facts" about transgender people, but you don't even know basic biology. ovaries also produce testosterone and testicles also produce estrogen, just in smaller amounts than their main respective chemical. These chemicals are by no means "foreign".

"demonic cross between either gender" now you're literally demonizing transgender people and also insinuating that intersex people are "demonic crosses between either gender"

also its not like people get surgery for other things, oh not at all, because that would be consider mutilation and trans people are the only ones who mutilate themselves (satire if you couldnt tell)

and for your information these procedures are intended to help transgender people appear how their mind pictures them and how they want other people to see them, no other reason.

just because we are a small minority does not mean we do not deserve respect. we have always existed and we always will. and we aren't here to creep/freak you out either, just to be comfortable in our own skin and with how others see us. you have no reason to be so frightened and angry at our existence. i dont know why you feel so threatened by people trying to live their lives comfortably but you shouldnt be.
This is the last time I will reply to you. And the only thing you have written
that dignifies a response is your claim that what you have said is not transphobic.

Lets take a look at what you've said:
"the problem in that though is that it doesn't turn you into the gender you want, it's just mutilating and experimenting yourself to be some demonic cross between either gender"
Calling trans-people demonic is transphobic. Also you can't turn a gender, gender a non physical identity, unlike sex.

"that's like saying I'm brave for going to an interview at a lawyer's firm in a snorkel and boardies, I'm not, I'd look ridiculous and there is no way in hell I'm getting the job"
You have this strange notion that all trans people look awful. That is offensive and radically incorrect, I don't think you've spent much time with out-trans people if you believe that they look somehow wrong.

"it's not transphobic it's looking at a guy in something that makes him look like a dumbass and thinking 'that guy looks like a dumbass'"
She doesn't look like a dumbass, she looks like she's expressing her gender. Calling someone a dumbass when they are quiet litteretly just trying to be happy, to be the person they were born *not* how society expects them to dress just because of the genitals they happen to have.

"besides, you don't know something didn't change him, he could've been a heroin addict and the drug could've made him gay, I know people like that."
No you don't. That is ignorant and offensive. Your claim that heroin can 'turn someone gay' has no scientific backing. Scientists have several ideas about the origin of homosexuality and transexuality, but none of them have found any connection to recreational drugs.

"and there kinda is something wrong with him, for one, he's morbidly obese and 2 his brain doesn't match whatever's under those 50 or so roles" "
I'm human, and he's a lardlad in a tutu"
Who is morbidly obese? Once again back to your idea of trans people, you imagine them as strange fat bearded men in dresses. That isn't even close to the reality. Please, go do some research and try not to embarrass yourself anymore.

"just like gender identity, rights are a man-made concept"
Finally, something we agree on. Gender is a social construct that has nothing to do with biological sex. As it turns out, not every person with a vaginia identifies with 'female' roles and not every person with a penis identifies with 'male' roles and intersex people aren't provided a role at all in our society. In the same way a female isn't biologically hardwired to like pink, they are not hardwired to feel comfortable with female roles. And sometimes, they feel comfortable with male roles. That sometimes leads to the transition to male in order to feel comfortable.

This will happen whether you want it to or not. Transpeople will be trans, gay people will be gay. So please, leave us the hell alone and let us be us.

hey buddy, disagreeing with you is beginning to sound like what you find transphobic, get off your high horse would ya?

I didn't call them demonic and again they're synonyms

I didn't say they all look awful, I specifically used the examples "lanky" and "obese" because those are unattractive, hell if you find a dude who looks good in a dress then by all means let him, do you not get what I mean when I say that shit that sticks out like a sore thumb is the shit that people don't like? like a fat guy in a tutu or a lanky kid in a dress? stop thinking like I'm trying to offend you

no, he looks like a dumbass in a dress, you don't see bondage fans walking around in public with body-restricting leather and a latex suit, do you? I mean they're expressing themselves aren't they? that who they are

it was an example, I obviously don't think all transgendered people are morbidly obese or walk like they're chewing a minty with their bums, stop taking everything so literally, it's hard to have a legitimate argument when you're LOOKING for reasons to be offended

but it is a fact that a woman has less testosterone, leading them to be less aggressive and more passive, a man is meant to have more testosterone and usually, think about having sex with their penis, that whole thing that trans people don't do

you're right, disagreeing with you on deviantart is an invasion of your privacy and rights, as well as an attack on every human bein- no, everything with disorders like your own
and since you have trouble with sarcasm and examples, I'll just make it known that was sarcasm and calling you on the fact that you're too touchy on shit that doesn't matter, don't take it as a compliment when I call you "precious"
