I just think Mr. Lee doesn't work out a lot. If you're as heated as Wonder Woman has to be all the time (lifting, fighting, saving the day) then the neck sweat would be irritating to hell with a metal choker. From a design perspective, it does add a touch to the neck that is usually ignored and does hit on a few of the fetish elements that all super heroines end up touching on.
