It's all done with Gimp 2.8, I don't even have Photoshop yet (though I'm gonna get it soon)! You can do almost anything with that program if you know how to use it xD
And about the ideas... I mostly choose the title before I make the wallpaper, so I already know which mood I want to put in there. And then...it just comes to my mind xD

I once downloaded a try-out version, man I didn't know which buttons to click, but we had a short tutorial in school, and I worked with it on my internship, so I really learned a lot!

Yea, it's just getting through the beginning, the hardest part, and then you're able to figure things out on you own..
