I've always wondered how people do it. Can you do it in sai, or does it have to be MS Paint? I'll have to look up some tutorials, then....
I don't have SAI, but one of my friends uses it for pixel art. It definitely is possible, you just have to search. I know in Photoshop you can just set the brush and eraer to "pencil", so maybe it's somewhat like that?
But mspaint isn't really that bad, and I still use it sometimes. Also you can just make it transparent on iaza.com.
