well, it was from my first photoshop pic, [link] . i filled in the large mountain, and it covered my OC. so i had to erase, and go onto the background to fill in the visible marks from the erasing.

OH. I understand your problem now XD XD haha. Sorry.

Okay, let's say you have a layer:

Layer 2: Large Red Square
Layer 1: Small White Circle

The Large square would cover over the white circle, obviously...
I would just rearrange the layers, to:

Layer 1: Small Circle
Layer 2: Large Square

If you can't do that for whatever reason and you want to do a selection---get the magic wand out, hit Contiguous and "Sample all Layers" Set the tolerance to a good level (you can alter it if the default one doesn't work out for you)... select all the areas around the circle, then do the fill on another layer.

Also, next time please just ask photoshop questions on my photoshop tutorials page! please. Unless it's a specific effect you see in the comic page :)

maybe you could do a tutorial on the magic wand, or do the tutorial on the layer problem. i don't really know how to move layers either.

oh, i covered the magic wand in the coloring tutorial ^^ you can move layers just by dragging the layers around like you would a file on the computer. :)

ah.i tried dragging the layers, but the cursor turned into a cross symbol, and didn't move. i have cs6, if that helps.

If one of the layers is the "background layer", then that's going to be a problem. You're going to have to duplicate the background layer first so you can move it around (you should neeeever draw on the background layer). Since you already finished your picture, just try messing around with a blank document, make like 5 or 6 new layers, and move around all the other layers besides the background layer. Play around with the program like that first to see what you're able to do :)
