I always wish they had went ahead with the show they had planned instead of Enterprise. (blech!)
It was going to have Ryker as captain, partolling a UN stlye warzone, but at the same time, dealing
with new races and threats to the Alpha quandrant. It sounded good. But they switched instead
to that farce that got canned mid-series, which in itself is a disgrace to a ST show...
Those were the bad days!
I think the time is right for a new ST show, but NOT a prequel, based on the Nolan films.
We need to take it a century past Picard and show a new cast and a new situation.
