Well to be honest they were already a bit over sexualized in the game itself.
Yeah, they were. But this just takes it to a new level... Oh well. If this is what he wants to do with his free time, I can't blame him. I do some pretty weird shit myself.
Well I'm just saying, I didn't think it would be that much of a surprise to see these characters in this nature. That's what Final Fantasy tends to rely on a lot of the time, is their fanservice. I'm not saying this guy's weird or you're weird or anything, it's just that I think it's Square Enix's fault for depicting them that way.
Yeah, I have noticed that... Not just with SE, but through the gaming industry as a whole. I'm guessing that since most of te gaming community consists of men, they would use sexualized female characters to appeal to the men. Although, it's not the case all the time. Yuna's original outfit from X was kind of respectable. Lightning from XIII has a teeny-tiny skirt, but in a sense, she's still a really respectable character.
But in the end, it's truly up to the players to determine if the character is sexualized or not. Some see it one way, and others see it the other way.
As for me, I don't think SE sexualizes their female characters... To an extent. (X-2 was kind of the exception with this) I kind of grew accustom to the fashion that women wore in the Final Fantasy world. I guess in a different world, fashion would be different along with what they see as sexualizing.
